ABOUT

Müller Contemporary is a contemporary art gallery based in Berlin–Charlottenburg. The gallery presents international artistic positions with a particular interest in practices connected to Southeastern Europe.

Founded by Kai Müller, Müller Contemporary continues the activities of UNTILED Gallery, which was developed through exhibitions and collaborative projects in Sofia between 2023 and 2025. Working closely with curator Teodora Kotseva, the gallery has presented exhibitions with emerging and established artists from across Europe and participated in international festivals and art fairs including Art Athina, BUNA Varna, and Sofia Art Week.

The program focuses on artistic practices that engage with the relationship between image, object and spatial experience. Working across media such as installation, sculpture, painting, photography and moving image, the gallery’s artists often explore questions of material transformation, memory and the structures that shape everyday environments.

With the opening of its Berlin space, Müller Contemporary continues this program while expanding its engagement with the international contemporary art scene.
